Damn Yankees is a Broadway hit which debuted in 1955 and has been playing ball ever since. In an amusing slant on the "Faust" legend, aging baseball fan Joe Boyd is given an opportunity to lead his beloved Washington Senators to victory by a devilish gent named Applegate. Boyd is transformed into handsome young "Shoeless" Joe Hardy from Hannibal, Mo.  Joe becomes the Senators' star player, but at the price of his immortal soul.

Joe isn't terribly worried, however, since he's built an escape clause into his contract with Applegate. To see that Joe doesn't get a chance to exercise that clause, Applegate sends his luscious assistant Lola to seduce the ballplayer.  But there is still a ray of hope--if Hardy can win the deciding pennant game.  With Lola's aid, Joe gives the devil more than his due.

The show includes wonderful Richard Adler/Jerry Ross songs, including "(You've Gotta Have) Heart, " "Two Lost Souls," and "What Lola Wants, Lola Gets."

The show opened at Broadway's 46th Street Theater in 1955 and starred Gwen Verdon and Ray Walston.  A successful 1994 revival starred Bebe Neuwirth and Victor Garber.  Based on the novel The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant, the musical Damn Yankees is and always will be a rock-solid piece of entertainment.

Moon Over Buffalo is a comedy by Ken Ludwig set in Buffalo, New York in 1953.  It relies heavily on situation comedy for its humor, as well as some sexual innuendo and a little slapstick. The actor who plays George, in particular, must be able to deliver a highly physical performance; George engages in a mock fencing match with Charlotte, a wrestling match with Howard, and a stunt fall into the orchestra pit. The action and dialogue are fast-paced, as the characters are constantly bickering or frantically trying to resolve some confusion.

Moon Over Buffalo opened on Broadway at the Martin Beck Theatre on October 1, 1995, where it ran for 309 performances, after 22 previews and an out-of-town tryout in Boston.  A video, Moon Over Broadway, was made, following the show through the rehearsal period and the Broadway opening.

Peter Pan is a musical adaptation of Sir J. M. Barrie's renowned play Peter Pan and Barrie's own novelization of it, Peter and Wendy. In different productions of the musical, the title character of Peter Pan has been played famously by Mary Martin, Sandy Duncan, and Cathy Rigby.

The music is mostly by Mark "Moose" Charlap, with additional music by Jule Styne, and most of the lyrics were written by Carolyn Leigh, with additional lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. It was directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins and initially starred Mary Martin and Cyril Ritchard on Broadway.
